Experimenting with Pattern

With the base theme of Sophie’s work being pattern, I decided to experiment with her style of pattern. With designing tattoos in my spare time, particularly mandalas, which is a spiritual and ritualistic symbol of Buddhism and Hinduism representing the universe; I found it interesting to practice a new style, helping add to my own repertoire of skill. Instead of incorporating pattern into my mythological designs, I decided to fill the pattern throughout the background, to differ my experiments to Sophie’s work. We aim to practice each other’s way of working to hopefully to collaboration work where you can’t tell who did what.
