Drawing Project
For my drawing project I needed to draw 100 pieces of an object. I chose an apple for my object because I feel it was simple enough to recreate in many different ways. Several examples of the techinques/media I used are tipex, cogs from a watch, acrylic paint stamped on with a tube, bubblewrap print, felt-tip pens and masking fluid.
For the second part of this project I needed to turn my 100 drawing into something else. I decided to create my apples into an apple tree due to the connection they have. I used paper mache to create the trunk and branches of the tree and added pages from books. I used the apples which didn't stand out too much as a background and dripped watered down acrylic paint over them to make them blend together and I used the boldest apples as the apples in this piece.
Painting Project
For the first stage of the painting project, we had to creat 6 drawings, planning what we were going to paint. We were asked to chose a location, figure and object . I chose a human heart as my object, a artist maniquin as a figure and outer space as my location. Here are pictures of my plan and drawing of a anatomically correct heart and outer space. I do like drawing however,I prefer to drawon a smaller scale so I did not enjoy creating the bigger drawings. Overall, I think they were a success as they aided the painting stage of this project.
